Thrill Halloween was a family oriented convention that was to be held near and revolving around Halloween. It appears to be run by a dedicated company, Thrill Halloween LLC.
It grew out of the history of Keen Halloween, a family friendly Halloween maker faire created by Daniel and Dawna Davis of Steam Crow (steamcrow.com), who ran two events in 2012 and 2013. After a couple of years on hiatus, they partnered with Matt Solberg of Square Egg Entertainment, the parent company of Phoenix Comicon, to bring back the event in 2016 with a more vendor-centric approach.
Creative differences in the run-up to the 2017 event led to an apparently amicable agreement whereby Daniel and Dawna were able to take the Keen Halloween name back. We can only assume that Matt's side of that was approval to continue with a similar event under a new name to follow his direction forward.
Thrill Halloween's first event was scheduled for the same date and venue that Keen Halloween would have held in 2017. A second event was also launched at the same time for the following weekend in Fresno, CA.
However, exactly one month out, Square Egg cancelled Thrill Halloween (thegeeklyfe.com), so we're not likely to see what Solberg's vision really was.
