ZapCon

Overview

ZapCon (zapcon.com) is an arcade and pinball convention with all games set to free play. It was founded by Wes Cleveland and Zack Johnson of the Classic Game Preservation Society (cgpsociety.org). They first hosted it in 2013 to allow owners of classic machines to showcase their collections to the public.

Notes

ZapCon 8 was cancelled for 2020 after their venue announced it would close through their dates due to concerns over COVID-19. I'm not sure that they ever announced dates for 2021, but the organisers seem to have considered it as 8.1 with the in person 2022 called ZapCon 8.2, or a third attempt at hosting 2020's eighth event.
